Parents, old girls, honoured guests, staff and friends showed up to witness not only the presentation of academic awards, but also the official opening of the Remembrance Garden (championed by Nana Ngobese and Hixonia Nyasulu), the new computer centre (with desks funded by the Solon Foundation) and the Dr Mantu Tshabalala Msimang swimming pool. Academic highlights included the Grade 12 All Round Achiever award going to Phumla Mngwengwe for the sixth time in six years, and the Dux for 2011 being awarded to Ntsotiseng Mphakoba.
