Funeka Ngcakani-Mbada

Inanda’s moto, ‘Shine where you are’, was my inspiration. Something that shines gives light to others. My objective is to provide light to others in my journey of growth.

I am a qualified Occupational Health Medical Practitioner, experiences in providing Occupational Health services in a vast range of fields: Mining, Manufacturing (South African Bank Notes), SA MINT, Columbus steel manufacturing, SAMCA, KLT, Adient, Hulamin) / Production, Beverage industry (Coke – CCBSA, Parmalat, Food services (Nestle, Carousel) Airport services (ACSA and SAA), Construction and Health care/hospital (Steve Biko Academic Hospital).

I have experience in working in a Primary Health Care environment, HIV management and more than 10 years experience in Casualty / Emergency care. I am the 1st full time ‘contractor to provide occupational health service to services to the SA mint.  I am an Executive member of SASOM which provides guidelines and updates to doctors practising in Occupational Health. I was a member of the team that reviewed the Hazardous Biological Agents Regulation at the Department of Labour.
