Jazz Mbanjwa

My Leadership experience spans the disciplines of Human Capital, Talent Attraction and leadership development as well as Consulting services in areas of organisational strategy. I am a seasoned human capital professional, talent attraction guru and dynamic businesswoman who has led in the ICT, Renewable Solar Power Energy, Industrial Manufacturing, Automotive and Telecommunications industries amongst others in attracting the most sought-out talent with critical and scarce skills in global markets. I am passionate about growing future-fit organisations, leaders and people.
I am the Founder and managing director of Zenzele People’s Professionals – a 100% black, female-owned company that has been operating for 15 years. I specialise in offering high-tech, scalable people solutions to blue-chip clients and was previously nominated to the board member of the Information Technology Agency (ITA).
At Zenzele, we are focused on growing organisations, leaders and people. I chair the board of Zenzele, drive business growth and manage the day-to-day operations of the company. My passion for people development and talent placement can be clearly seen through strategic partnerships and projects. Zenzele’s recent partnership agreements with IBM through the IBM Digital Nation Africa and IBM Research Africa show the passion and focus of Zenzele in the niche area of tech recruitment.
My personal experience across all HR specialities and commitment to the recruitment industry have resulted in various other strategic relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders, locally and internationally, particularly in the ICT industry. I have been fortunate to be profiled for my senior roles within ICT and selection as I was nominated as a board member of the ITA (Information Technology Agency– a board that regulates the ICT services industry in SA).
As a seasoned black female professional, I believe it’snot only my passion but my responsibility to develop young female leaders. As an active member of the International Woman’s Forum (IWFSA), Executive Round Table 2010 and Young Leaders Connect, I am able to inspire young females to grow into exceptional leaders.
Zenzele’s recent partnership with WEConnect Internationalfurther emphasises my focus to grow and support female talent.WeConnect International is a global network that connects women-owned businesses around the world. The shared vision is to create a world in which women have the same opportunity as their male counterparts to design and implement business solutions that create wealth and ensure the sustainable prosperity of their communities.
I believe that women inspire women through example, which is why I am actively involved in St Stithians school as a chair of the PTA for Girls Prep. This active leadership role involves shaping the school character and synergy projects; leading fundraising and sustainability advancement alongside talent activation and development while ensuring that all key stakeholders are involved in the efficient running of the school.
This empowerment focus continues in the work I do for the Methodist Church of SA, where I serve as a Bursary Committee Member, seeking to identify and award financial assistance to children in need of our attention and support.
